What's New Spring 2015

Nana's Aunt Margaret is one recipe contributor who shines above all the rest. She has the unique distinction of contributing the most recipes to the site — a total of 27! Sadly, Margaret passed away in February — she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Lon Rupnow.

Born in a small company-owned mining town in rural Utah to Italian immigrants, Margaret (Perri) Rupnow was the youngest of 11 children and the last of her generation. While raising two children, Margaret was President and Honorary Life Member of the PTA. She was chosen as the 1955 Oakland (California) Mother of the Year.

A bookkeeper in a medical office for over 40 years, Margaret spent spare time as an avid Oakland A's fan. She is greatly missed for her humor, her beauty and her loving nature. Through this site, Margaret leaves a legacy of recipes for the generations that follow.

Nana's youngest daughter, Cynthia, started a blog called My 'Lil Corner of Life comprised of essays and poems about the complexity of life. Check it out!

There are now a total of 279 recipes on the site. The Recipe Index alphabetically lists all recipes.
