Alice
Pullen
Alice Pullen, a very dear friend, passed away suddenly in March of 1988, leaving her family devastated. Alice was one of those people who could do everything. She was an excellent cook and seamstress, and one of the most giving persons I have ever known. Many times each year she would give blood to the Red Cross. She was also a school grounds supervisor at her children's grammar school. After her two girls, Bonny and Cheryl, left home Alice found herself with more time on her hands -- though she still had her son Skipper, and husband Jake at home. With extra time on her hands she became a volunteer at Heather Farms Park teaching disabled children to swim. Alice was also a volunteer at Kaiser Hospital for many years and received awards for the endless hours she spent helping. I learned so many things from Alice by just observing her loving her life. |
